AIM is a no-budget slasher movie, a violent allegory on addiction and personal responsibility. Shot on a mini-DV camcorder purchased
on Ebay for $150 dollars, AIM was inspired by a friend's ultimate inability to give up his own ugly addiction after endless half-hearted
attempts. AIM is a truly independent film. Everything from the props to the music is entirely home-made, while the majority of the cast
are non-actors. The money spent on DV tapes and corn syrup (for fake blood) accounts for the entire budget of about $75.
The jaded horror fan will enjoy AIM's black humour, while the less horror-centric viewer might find it as disturbing as it is compelling.
